Engine & Truck Run 34 House Fire
Shortly before 1700 hours on Saturday February 3rd, 2018 E122 and Truck 12 were alerted to the 2600 blk. of Falling Brook Terrace in Co. 34’s area for a report of a house on fire. First arriving units reported a 2 story wood frame single family dwelling with fire from 2 floors in the rear. E122 was 3rd due on the box and initiated secondary water to the rear of the home and stretched the 400′ line to the basement where they reported on conditions then redeployed the line up a ladder in the rear to assist division 2. Truck 12 arrived as the second truck on the box and positioned on the D side of the home. The interior crew deployed to the second floor and Truck 12’s officer was assigned to be the Division 2 supervisor. Due to heavy staffing on the truck and the need for an additional line on the inside of the home, part of the interior crew also deployed an attack line with permission of command to help control extension in the attic area. The exterior crew deployed ground ladders to the rear and assisted with opening up the rear of the home. Units from Co. 12 operated for approximately 2 hours before returning to service.
